This shampoo is so pure that it may be diluted to use as a body wash. Many people find that they can wash their hair less often with our Seabuckthorn Shampoo.
Coco-protein is also free from preservatives. It has excellent dermatological compatibility and also has low environmental impact as it is highly bio-degradable. Coco-protein is not related to any of the sulfates, sulfides, or other surfactants which are best avoided.
The roots of the Yucca plant have been used traditionally by Native Americans as a natural body, hair, and laundry soap. Yucca root is very high in saponins, the soap-making ingredient which causes the lather in our shampoo. This special root also has emollient properties which have a soothing effect on the hair shaft.
Grapefruit Essential Oil (Citrus paradisii): A cheery oil which is uplifting and euphoric, grapefruit is a wonderful astringent that tightens and tones. It also invigorates and refreshes the scalp, promoting lymphatic flow.*
Seabuckthorn Berry Oil (Hippophae rhamnoides): Our special super-critical extract balances and harmonizes the lipid layers of the skin. It is beneficial for all skin types. Seabuckthorn gets to the root cause of imbalances in the skin by going deep within the lipid layers and healing from the inside out. Seabuckthorn is an extraordinarily rich and vital oil that is perfectly balanced in omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 oils.
Our seabuckthorn berry oil is a special extract that has captured over 190 bioactive substances in one drop! The oil is also potent in antioxidants, has soothing components, carotenoids like beta carotene, and phytosterols that reduce redness and help heal mucous membranes. It regenerates cells, protects against cell water loss, and is rich in vitamins C, E, and pro-vitamins A and B. Seabuckthorn oil is also rich in lipids, beneficial fatty acids and rare palmitoleic acids. All of these extraordinary plant properties contribute to regenerate and revitalize connective tissue.
Vetiver Essential Oil (Vetivera zizanodes): Vetiver is a rooted, earthy and grounding essence with a deep, mysterious fragrance. Vetiver oil is distilled from the root of a tropical grass and has a calming effect on the scalp. Vetiver moisturizes and strengthens the hair shaft.
Lime (Citrus aurantifolia): This fresh, citrusy oil infuses a luscious scent which also supports shiny, happy hair. Lime helps to clean the hair by releasing trapped dirt and oils and renewing luster.
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis): Rosemary is an herbaceous revive-alive-verve-tonic with a refreshing, penetrating aroma. In our shampoo we use a special supercritical extraction that boosts rosemary into super antioxidant classification.This type of extraction yields a potent and pure nectar of Rosemary that contains hundreds of plant bio-actives. Researchers at the University of Catania in Italy have shown that supercritical rosemary extract helps protect the skin cells which may prevent age-related skin damage. The study also showed that Rosemary antioxidant preserves a protective protein in the skin called HSP70.

Peppermint, Mentha piperita, perky peppermint clears the mind and brings its cache of cooling anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory compounds to care for dry, flaky scalps. Peppermint inspires circulation and wakes up the scalp to balance sebum production and leave the hair shiny and soft.
Bladderwrack Seaweed (Fucus vesiculosus): Bladderwrack is a succulent seaweed that is naturally mucilaginous. It works to stimulate and tonify the hair. Have you noticed that people from regions that ingest an abundance of seaweed traditionally have the thickest, most beautiful hair? Bladderwrack feeds the roots and shaft of the hair with essential vitamins and minerals like calcium, magnesium, B vitamins, silica, and antioxidants.
Orange Wax (Citrus aurantium dulcis): Orange wax is a semi-solid wax that is extracted from the pressed peels of oranges. CONDITIONING HERBAL INFUSIONS
The herbs listed below are known for supporting a healthy scalp and beautiful hair. Each herb is individually infused into Organic Golden Jojoba oil - some for a month or more. This process enhances the therapeutic properties of both the jojoba and the botanicals. The end result is herbal infused oil that is a readily absorbed, nourishing nectar for your hair shaft and scalp.
Golden Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis): Naturally rich in lipids and peptides which create a soft, silky feel with long-lasting conditioning effects on the scalp. Jojoba balances the sebum production for all skin types. It contains all forms of the natural antioxidant Vitamin E. In fact, the highest amount of tocopherol and phenolic compounds can be found in this golden oil.
Like Seabuckthorn oil, Jojoba oil promotes healthy hair and skin because it contains many of the bio-available components that our own natural oils contain and need. Jojoba is so easily absorbed by the hair that it makes a perfect vehicle for the deep nourishment of the herbs to be delivered to the cells in the hair and scalp.
Calendula (Calendula officinalis): Calendula has sunny bright yellow petals packed with positive, potent properties. These soothing, antiseptic, and astringent properties offer a wide range of body care applications. In our shampoo, calendula is soothing to the scalp.
Red Clover (Trifolium pretense): Red clover is well known for its sweet pinkish-purple blossoms popping on the hillsides. Botanically, red clover offers a rich source of vitamins and minerals that support strong hair, skin, and nails.
Oatstraw (Avena staiva): Oatstraw is rich in nutrients such as Vitamins A, B, and E. It promotes body and fullness to your hair.
Horsetail (Equisetum arvense): Horsetail helps nourish hair with nutrients including silica and B vitamins. It is rich in cysteine which helps to condition the hair. Horsetail helps promote hair growth, strengthen hair, add resilience, and improve breakage.
Nettles (Urticaurens): Nettles are mineral-rich botanicals that provide the hair with deep nourishment, oxygenation, and stimulation. Nettles help to fortify hair fibers and renew growth.
